MANSFIELD: William “Bill” Lawrence Flenner, age 89, passed away unexpectedly on March 22, 2025.
Bill was born in Mansfield on November 6, 1935 to Lawrence and Valoris (Arehart) Flenner. He attended Ashland University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He enjoyed a career in data management, working primarily as a systems analyst. He met his wife Linda Clingan at Tappan, where they were both employed. The couple wed in 1962, enjoying 63 years of marriage. Together they raised two loving daughters, Deborah and Denise.
Bill is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Flenner; daughters Deborah (Scott) Miller and Denise Flenner; grandchildren Trenton Flenner, Austin Miller, and Alysia Miller; and many more nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by parents Lawrence and Valoris Flenner and brother Richard Flenner.
In lieu of flowers, Bill’s family invites loved ones to make contributions in his memory to Crossroads Church.
Bill’s family will gather for a private graveside service at a later date, but they invite those who were touched by Bill’s life to celebrate his memory in their own special way.
