Justin “Rusty” Allen Ramsey, 65, of Galion, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
Rusty was born on January 6, 1960, in Galion to the late William and Juanita (Barler) Ramsey. He was a graduate of Galion High School, Class of 1979. Rusty proudly owned and operated Ramsey’s Small Engine Repair in Galion for many years.
Rusty was best known for his incredible woodworking projects, transforming wood into beautiful art pieces that he proudly shared at craft shows. His artistic spirit and passion for his craft allowed him to connect with many, leaving behind a legacy of inspiration.
When he wasn’t busy crafting, Rusty loved spending time outdoors. Whether it was going on long walks, attending the annual tractor pulls at county fairs, or enjoying seasonal traditions with his grandchildren-like apple picking in the colorful fall and marveling at the zoo lights during the winter-he found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Rusty was also an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, he rarely missed a game.
Left to cherish Rusty’s memories are his significant other, Enid Ramsey of Galion; his children; Laura (William) Lott of Galion and Nicole Ramsey of Lexington, TN; grandchildren; Brendyn, Logan and Landyn Ramsey, Breanna, Bayleigh, Braelynn and Bowen Lott; and his siblings; Jimmy (Virginia) Ramsey of Sheridon, IN and Lisa (Roger) Davidson of Bucyrus.
