Marcille Maglott Bookwalter, age 99, of Mansfield, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Crystal Care Center of Mansfield.
Born July 24, 1925, to Floyd and Elizabeth (Finfgeld) Maglott in Mansfield, she lived her entire life in the area. Marcille graduated from Mansfield Senior High School with the Class of 1943. She met her husband, Wilber Bookwalter and they married on July 8, 1945, spending 59 years together until his passing. Marcille worked in the family business, Best Bike Shop, for many years.
She is survived by her grandson, Joshua Gilliland; granddaughter, Megan Maxwell; two great-grandchildren, Brooke and Aiden; several nephews and cousins; and the best, most caring neighbors in the world.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Elizabeth Maglott; husband, Wilber Bookwalter; and two children, Jay Bookwalter and Jill (John) Gilliland.
A graveside service will be held in Mansfield Cemetery at a future date. Wappner Funeral Directors-Ontario is honored to serve the family.
