BELLVILLE: James Tucker Enloe, Jr. 88 of Howard, Ohio passed away peacefully March 3, 2025 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Mansfield, De Soto Parrish, Louisiana to James Tucker Enloe, Sr. and Mary Lee (Rhodes) Enloe.
He is survived by his wife Marcia (Fogg) Needham of Howard, Ohio; eight children Patrick Enloe and Darlene (Peetz) of Detroit, Michigan, Marybeth Enloe of Bellville, Ohio, and Angela (Enloe) Shaffer and Daniel Shaffer of Bellville, Ohio, Allison Beschta Dondelinger, Sarah Robertson, Jerry Needham, Susan Draheim, and Ruth Williams. Jim will be missed by his four grandchildren Matthew Hoover and Rachel (Oke) Hoover, Christopher Hoover and Sandi Chen, Elizabeth (Hoover) Sturdevan and Dustin Sturdevan and Evan Shaffer; four great-grandchildren Penelope, Amos, Tucker and Aurora. He is also survived by two brothers John Enloe of Ashburn, Virginia, and Charles Enloe of Whitehouse, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Lou (Theriot) Enloe in 1992.
He was well taken care of in his last months by both of his daughters, near Bellville, Ohio. Jim worked for over 25 years at General Electric in aerospace marketing. He was proud of his earlier work as a Radio DJ, TV weatherman, and as a photographer for NASA. Jim had many hobbies that he enjoyed including woodworking, gunsmithing, working in his blacksmith shop and teaching others the craft. He was a lifelong lover of history and avid French Indian War living history. He was also an accomplished musician and was part of a traveling jazz band when he was in college. Jim enjoyed gardening with a special love for roses and enjoyed skiing with his children in Pittsfield, snowshoeing and his motorcycle.
The family would like to thank his caregivers from first OhioHealth Home Health, then Freedom Caregivers and Southern Care Hospice. He received compassionate care from all of them.
