Marge Schuck Yetzer, age 79, of Ashland, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025. Born on March 14, 1945, in Wooster, Ohio, Marge spent the majority of her life in Ashland County and was a proud graduate of Ashland University, where she earned her undergraduate degree. She went on to complete her master’s degree in Speech Pathology from Kent State University.
Marge dedicated her career to helping others find their voice. She worked as a Speech Language Pathologist for Ashland County Schools, Hayesville Schools, and Ashland University, taking great pride in the students she supported and the lives she touched through her work.
Marge married Joseph “Lee” Yetzer on September 2, 1962, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shelby, Ohio. Together, they shared over 46 years of marriage, raising their family, supporting each other’s passions, and building a lifetime of memories.
She was an avid gardener, with a particular love for rose bushes—at one time caring for over 50 in her backyard. When moving to their current home, Marge ensured that Lee and Victoria carefully dug up and transplanted her cherished roses to start the new garden. Marge’s talents extended beyond her backyard as she became a fixture at the Ashland County Fair, winning hundreds of ribbons over the years for her beautiful flower arrangements.
She was also deeply committed to her faith and community, as an active member of St. Edward Catholic Church in Ashland and a volunteer with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Marge found joy in serving others, whether through her career, her church, or her volunteer work.
Family meant everything to Marge. She raised her daughters, Victoria and Stephanie, to be kind, loving, and hardworking, always encouraging them to be their best. She was endlessly proud of her grandchildren, Joey, Megan, Davis, and Leigh.
Marge is survived by her daughters, Victoria Conrad (Joseph) and Stephanie Sumner; her grandchildren, Joey Conrad Megan Conrad, Davis Sumner and Leigh Peterson (Josiah); her brother, Forest Schuck (Claudia); and her sisters, Virginia Schuck and Geneva Schuck. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Lee” Yetzer.
