Amy C. Montanya, 46, of Mansfield passed away February 24, 2025 at Riverside Methodist Hospital after a battle with brain cancer.
Amy was born November 30, 1978 in Mansfield to Greg and Catherine Burgess Montanya. She was a 1997 graduate of Lexington High School and attended Madison for cosmetology. She worked as a hair stylist and nail tech at Allure Studios for many years. Amy enjoyed the outdoors hiking, watching movies but her true love was the time spent with her family, especially when spoiling her grandkids.
Survivors include her dad Greg Montanya; children Felicia Curry, Emariya Miller; grandchildren Naleiah and Makiah; longtime boyfriend Qwon Lewis; brother Matt Montanya; and her dog Cookie; along with nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her mom, Catherine.
Visitation will take place on Friday, March 14 from 11:30am – 1:00pm at Herlihy Funeral Home, 173 Park Avenue West. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00pm at the funeral home by Rev. Dr. Faith Proetti. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Richland County, American Cancer Association or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
