Judith Ann (Davis) Hoam, age 73, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend was released into the arms of Jesus on February 27, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving husband and family after a 13 year struggle with progressive supranuclear palsy. Her life was a testament of the love of Jesus and those she knew.

Judy led a full and active life. Her senior year at Lexington High School she was homecoming queen. She was united in marriage with her husband, Gary, on September 3, 1971 at Hilltop Church with her father officiating. She was a homemaker and the mother of 4 children as well as being Mom to exchange students Arwed Bloch of Greifswald, Germany and Sawanya Luanchoticol of Bangkok, Thailand. In addition to her homemaking responsibilities, when her husband started the business, Chem-Tech Consultants, she served as business manager. She and her husband share a love for history and they became living historians and participated in many Civil War re-enactments as well as living history events at Malabar Farm and the Hayes Presidential Center. Interested in fashion, she was a model for the Trend Board at the Richland Mall. Her interest in natural remedies led her to start her own cosmetic business, Judith Ann, and produced natural classic skin care products sold at local stores. She and her husband renovated the family’s 1820 farmhouse on Boundary Line Farm and also restored the Newville Church building. She taught children’s junior chuch at Newville Church where she was a member using flannel graph as a teaching media. Judy was a writer all her life producing many poems and short stories. Her poem “Keepers of Boundary Line Farm” was recently published in the “Ohio Historic Farms” book.

She is survived by her husband, Gary, of 53 years; children Nathaniel (Ellen) Hoam of Fredericktown, Sara Hoam- (William) Price of Westerville, Anna Hoam of Oak Ridge in TN, Kathrine (Matthew) Williams of West Liberty. She was lovingly known as grandma to her wonderful grandchildren Davis (Kylie) Hoam, Lincoln Hoam, Silas Hoam, Elsa, Hoam, Thomas Williams, and Gwen Williams. She is also survived by her siblings Joan (Michael) Smith, Jeanine Burkholder, Janet (Douglas) Coole, Tim (Teresa) Davis, Joy (Steve) Motter, Marc (Keri) Davis, Jeni Davis, and sister-in-law Carolyn Davis as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family and caregiver Beth Young.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. James R. & Marjorie (Bletz) Davis, her brother Daniel Davis, her brother-in-law Gary Burkholder, her nephew Timmy Davis, her nieces Harper Davis and Deanna Hoam.

The Hoam family will receive family and friends on Friday, March 7, 2025 in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home from 4-7 pm where a funeral service honoring Judy’s life will be held Saturday, March 8, 2025 beginning at 10 am and her brother, Rev. Tim Davis will officiate. A graveside service will follow at the Saint Peters Cemetery on German Church Road.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Judy’s memory may be made to Newville Church.
