BELLVILLE — Richland Young Professionals’ fourth annual casino night will offer more than luck, as all funds raised will help children losing their vision see once-in-a-lifetime sights.
Richland Young Professionals (RYP) casino night is scheduled for March 15 at The Legacy on Possum Run. This year’s event, “Riches in Sight,” hosts a masquerade ball theme.
“It’s a very fun, classy, formal event,” said RYP president McKenna Campbell. “We’re excited.”
Presented by AIO Home Services and sponsored by Mechanics Bank, any proceeds will support the Visual Bucket List Foundation, a Mansfield-based non-profit that helps children losing their sight create unforgettable memories.
Campbell said the RYP board was deciding between a few different non-profits and voted to help the Visual Bucket List Foundation this year.
“They do a lot of super cool work — they’re able to send kids on trips and grant wishes to kids losing their sight,” Campbell said. “They’re able to really transform the lives of kids and families. We’re super excited to help them out this year.”
RYP raised about $5,000 last year for Love Our Hero’s in Bellville.
Casino night to host trained table game dealers
Tickets are capped at 250 total attendees. Emily Raff will also be performing live music at the event.
Tickets are $50 for general admission or $80 for VIP tickets. All tickets include dinner catered by Cub Country BBQ, while the VIP players also receive unlimited champagne, additional play money and a private gaming table.
RYP will host Baltzell Entertainment dealers for blackjack and roulette. Attendees aren’t able to gamble with real money at the event, but will receive play money at the door.
“It’s fun to add that more authentic feeling with trained dealers,” Campbell said.

Many local businesses donated gift baskets for the silent auction to raise more money for the Visual Bucket List Foundation.
“We’ll do a 50/50 drawing for more play money and one of our silent-auction items will go up for sale with the play money,” Campbell said.
A football signed by Cleveland Browns cornerback Denzel Ward is one of the silent auction items.
The event is scheduled for 5 to 9 p.m. March 15. Attendees can purchase tickets online while they last.
Gaming is scheduled for 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and the silent auction will end the night.
RYP membership is limited to people ages 18 to 40, but events are open to anyone.
Anyone interested can follow RYP on Facebook, attend an event or fill out an interest form online to be added to the email list.
