Loretta J. Thompson, 72, of Lexington and formerly of Galion passed away February 28, 2025 at her home. She was born May 1, 1952 in Dayton to the late Donald and Goldie (Fouts) Woody.
Loretta enjoyed a quiet life with her family. She liked to watch television and some of her favorites were Andy Griffith, the Three Stooges and Westerns. She was a true believer in God.
She leaves behind her children: Lorena (David Thomas) Jonas and Marion T. Thompson Jr., grandchildren: Whitney (Rob) Luckhaupt, Matthew Jonas, Jayson Jonas, Dallas Thompson, Derrick Thompson and Christina (Holly) Thompson; great-grandchildren: Jaynica Dearth, Alexander Solano, Lastat Solano and Dominic Luckhaupt, brother Don Woody and sisters Carol Mallot and Gayle Brinton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Lynn Foxworth, brother Richard Woody, sister Regina Woody and ex-husband Marion T. Thompson Sr.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 with services to begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Roy Nieman officiating.
