When Dustin S. Moore passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at the age of 43, he left this earth to go to his heavenly home. He was born on October 12, 1981, in Mansfield to his mother Lisa (Bartman) and his father Max Moore. On August 16, 2010, he married his high school sweetheart Stefanie (Gates).

Dusty was a 2000 graduate of Madison Comprehensive High School and a 2005 graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in business. He excelled in all academics as well as golf and baseball, and he had a special love of science and math. He was currently employed as a cost estimator for Martin Public Seating, and he previously worked for School Specialty for several years.

Dusty was a frontman for many bands throughout the years and loved performing. He had the most beautiful, distinctive voice, and he also enjoyed playing the guitar. Alongside his love of music, he loved the outdoors and often enjoyed fishing, golfing, and stargazing, especially with his brother Jerryd. He traveled after every meteor shower he possibly could and went miles and miles to chase the stars with no destination in mind.

Dusty loved watching his children play sports and even coached his oldest daughter’s softball team for a few years. He was their biggest fan. He loved Alexis, Macy, Gavin, and Ryland, and he enjoyed gaming, exploring, swimming, and shooting hoops with all of them. They were his biggest accomplishments.

From his youth, Dusty attended Mansfield Free Will Baptist Church, where he recently led the worship team, accompanied by his sister Taylor. He won numerous accolades throughout his childhood for singing and Bible competitions.

Dusty was a beloved son, grandson, brother, father, husband, grandfather, and friend. There is so much his family and friends will miss about him, from finishing his wife’s sentences to how he serenaded them with his guitar and voice to how he always supported them at their school events and beyond. He was truly one of a kind.

He is survived by his wife Stefanie Moore; his mother and stepfather Lisa and Rich Guill; his father Max Moore; his children Alexis, Macy, and Gavin Moore; his siblings Christine (Dan) Ramirez, Jerryd Moore, Lacey Fulton, and Taylor (Zac) Lykins; his grandson Ryland Brown; his niece and nephews Malachi Lykins, Kirby Ramirez, and Riley Ramirez; his maternal grandparents Gerald and Carol Bartman; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Dwight and Delores Moore and his uncle Brian Bartman.

Calling hours will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Services will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. A private burial will take place at Mansfield Memorial Park.
