Dean Richard Beal peacefully departed from this life on February 16, 2025 after several years battling with cancer. Dean was born on September 4, 1947 in Mansfield, Ohio. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged as a veteran after a service-connected injury, carrying the spirit of duty and sacrifice throughout his life. Despite his rocky start in life, Dean spent his final years surrounded by family, friends, and joyful experiences.

Dean loved to give, and he was happiest when he could see his own loved ones happy. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who prioritized family in both his words and actions. He worked hard to give his children a good life and encouraged them to follow their aspirations, often sacrificing his own personal wants in the process.

When he was not working, you could find him fishing at a nearby lake or in the backyard tending to one of his many gardening projects. He loved to stop for garage sales and make special trips to country market stores in pursuit of the most delicious farm-fresh food. As his mobility declined, he still found great joy in hosting gatherings and parties, spending time with family, and enjoying lively poker games with his friends.

He was preceded in death by his dad Charles Beal and his mom Gladys Beal. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Maria Beal, three children from his first marriage- Robin, Renn, and Renee, three children from his current marriage- Leonarda, Dean, and Dee, three grandchildren- Paul, Roger, and Evelyn, and three great-grandchildren- Melody, Lane, and Theresa-Ann.

A viewing will be held Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 4-6pm at Snyder Funeral Home, 2553 Lexington Avenue, with a celebration of life to follow immediately afterwards. The family invites all those who knew him to join in remembering a life well lived.
