CANTON — Lexington’s Deven Goodman opened the state swimming and diving tournament in style.
A senior, Goodman finished 14th in the Division II one-meter boys diving competition Tuesday at C.T. Branin Natatorium. Goodman finished with 302.50 points, earning All-Ohio honors.
The top 16 finishers in each event earn All-Ohio recognition.
Two of Goodman’s Lexington teammates, freshmen Adam Britton and Quinnten Anderson, also competed Tuesday. Britton finished 26th with a score of 109.65 points. Anderson (102.30) was 30th.
The Division II girls diving competition will take place Wednesday. Mansfield Senior’s Macey Wade and Aspen Payne will be in action. Wade qualified 14th, while Payne is seeded 31st.
