Larry Miller of Mount Gilead, Ohio passed away on February 11, 2025 at home surrounded by his loved ones. Larry was born on August 15, 1947 to his father, Louis David Miller, and mother, Mildred Marie Springston in Athens, Ohio.
Larry served in the US Navy from 1964-1968. He was the best man a person could ever know. Larry was a hardworking husband and father who cared deeply for his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents Louis and Mildred, brother, David R. Miller, wife, May E. (Wynn) Miller, and step-son, Gary D. Butler Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Archalene Rose (Kurtz) Butler-Miller; children, Angela Hoffman-Cromberg, Philip D. Butler (step), Dustin E. Miller (adopted), and Archie Katherine Michelle Miller. Larry leaves behind many grandchildren who are the reason for ‘Handsome’ as he was too young to ever be a grandpa: Johnathan Scott Hoffman, Ashley May Thompson, Marjorie Rose Butler, Trinity Marie Cromberg, Gary D. Butler Jr., Emily I. Butler, Derreck Allen Stump, Macy V. Butler, Isaiah Gauze, Hadley R. Butler, Temperence Miller and many other loved family members.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday February 23, 2025 from 4-6pm at the Perry Congress Joint Fire District located at 7478 County Road 242 Johnsville, Ohio.
