MILLERSBURG — The Mansfield Senior boys basketball team will roll into tournament play with momentum.

Coach Marquis Sykes’ squad hammered West Holmes 73-38 on Saturday afternoon in the final regular-season game of the season.

Andrew Brooks Jr. poured in a career-high 26 points to pace the Tygers’ offense, while senior Kyevi Roane added 12 points.

Senior High took control of the OCC finale from the opening tip, roaring to a 27-3 first-quarter bulge. It was 46-13 at halftime. The gap reached 63-27 at the end of the third period.

Nate Sprang scored 14 points to spearhead the Knights’ offense, while Manny Camacho chipped in 10.

West Holmes drops to 1-20 on the season, 1-11 in the OCC.

Mansfield Senior finished the campaign 15-5 overall, 10-2 and second-place in the Ohio Cardinal Conference. The Tygers have won five straight games heading into the tournament.

Second-seeded Senior High will host No. 6-seed Norwalk (7-15) on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Division III sectional.
