Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. (1 Corinthians 13:4-5) Becky Walker loved easily and showed love often. Whether a random act of kindness or her willingness to simply offer a listening ear, Becky was loving.

Rebecca Sue “Becky” Walker, 74, of Bellville passed from this life and into the presence of her Lord Sunday, February 9, 2025 following a valiant battle with cancer.

Becky was born August 25, 1950 in Mansfield and graduated from Clear Fork High School in 1968. She first met Brad Walker on a double date. The two were married November 30, 1968.

A supportive and loving wife, mother, and grandmother Becky’s joy was always her family. Together Becky and Brad shared a love of cars. Her favorites were her Pontiac GTO and 1966 Mustang Convertible. Supporting her sons and grandchildren, she rarely missed a sporting or school event. She loved the holidays, especially Christmas and made it a point to share her love of the holidays with her family.

Becky’s calling in life was to honor Christ, as she truly enjoyed helping people, many times going the extra mile. She used her life’s experiences whether good or bad to glorify God and connect others to Him. Her circumstances never dictated her faith.

Becky was an active member at Storyside Church where she served on numerous committees and teams. She was a greeter, a parking lot attendant, helped mentor other women, assisted with the Christmas programs and Harvest parties. Her impact was far reaching as she served in humility.

She is survived by her husband Dr. Bradley Walker; sons Dr. Troy (Dr. Heather) Walker and Dr. Drew (Dr. Megan) Walker; grandchildren Gavin, Malia, Teagan, Eveianna, Auria, Orin, and Elliott; father Robert Hamilton; siblings Malinda Worner, Debbie Walker, and Kurtis (Tammy) Hamilton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her son Chad Walker; mother Anne Hamilton; and brother Robert “Snook: Hamilton.

A life celebration service will be held at 3 pm Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Storyside Church, 541 State Route 97 West, Bellville, Ohio, where the Walker family will greet family and friends in the main lobby following Becky’s memorial.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Storyside Church to assist youth with Student Summer Camp. Please make checks payable to Storyside Church. On the memo line: Student Summer Camp.
