Sally A. (Barbour) Vanasdale, age 85, of Galloway, Ohio, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 6, 2025, in Columbus.

A graduate of Plymouth High School, Sally played on both the girls’ basketball and softball teams. She was also active in the 4H and Grange. She married her high school sweetheart, Larry Vanasdale, in Shelby, Ohio, in 1960. Sally dedicated many years to Southwestern City Schools as a school bus driver and trainer, a role she took great pride in. Her skill and dedication were recognized through numerous School Bus Rodeo victories, even earning her a spot in a national competition. Beyond her career, she had a passion for photography, always capturing the beauty of the world around her.

Family was very important to Sally. She leaves behind two sons, cherished grandchildren, a dear brother, and many other relatives and friends who will miss her deeply. Her kindness, warmth, and determined spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

Friends may visit at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM. Rev. Nathan R. McBeth will officiate with interment held in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.
