Judith Kay Hunter, 80, of Mount Gilead passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.
Judy was born in Mount Gilead on June 19, 1944, to the late Adolph and Alice (Lanker) Walker.
Judy was known for her deep love of family, she treasured her time spent with those she loved, especially her son, Damon, and her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her home was always filled with laughter, love, and the delicious aromas of her home-cooked meals and freshly baked treats. Judy had a special gift in the kitchen and loved sharing her culinary creations with her loved ones.
In addition to her passion for cooking, Judy was an extraordinary painter. She found joy in capturing the beauty of the world around her, especially the people she loved and the breathtaking landscapes that inspired her. Her artwork was a true reflection of her soul—warm, vibrant, and full of life.
Left to cherish Judy’s memories are her son: Damon (Jessie) Hunter of Johnsville; her siblings: Jane (Tom) Staley of Arcanum, and Clint (Janet) Walker of Johnsville; grandchildren: Ashli (Jarod) Galvan of Denver City, TX., Dylan (Liana) Hunter of Dalhart, TX., Jesse Hunter of Cardington, Blake Miller of Johnsville and Gavin Miller of Johnsville and 8 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her brother, Ed Walker.
