Dorothy M. Beach, age 91, of Galion passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.
Born January 9, 1934 in Galion, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Marie (Miller) Kohls. She married Harold Beach on January 9, 1954 and he preceded her in death on June 29, 2015.
She was a 1952 graduate of Galion High School. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galion and helped with providing food and pies for funeral families. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening and flowers. Her favorite passion was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dorothy is survived by her children: Denise (Ric) Weis, Mark (Meleta) Beach, Kirk (Bea) Beach and Melissa Beach Gremling, 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers and 2 sisters: Bob (Betty) Kohls, Louise Eitzen, Tom (Pam) Kohls and Ann DeNero, 2 sisters-in-law: Chris Kohls and Mary Louise Fox. We would like to recognize her special companion and friend Alexis Gremling. Also her dear friend Helen Stauffer.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Lawrence Kohls, Mary Yetzer, Betty Studer, Bill Kohls, Rita Reed, Barb Winely, and Pete Kohls and her Aunt Josephine Schwinefus.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 PM Sunday February 9, 2025 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday February 10, 2025 with Rev. Paul Fahrbach officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
