James Leroy Scholl, 70, of Mansfield, Ohio, formerly of Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, January 31, 2025.
He was born November 11, 1954, in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. A son of the late Emory and Sarah (Brubaker) Scholl.
James graduated class of 1973 from Selinsgrove High School in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania. Right after graduating James enlisted in the United States Army. James was very proud of his service to his country as he would often reminisce about his time with family and friends.
James retired after driving truck for many years. In his retirement he enjoyed working with his hands gardening and carpentry.
James was preceded in death by his sisters Edith Musser, Darlene Gearhart, Emma Ackley, and Naomi Soloman, and two sisters in infancy. Brothers Merel Scholl, Leon Scholl, George Scholl, Daniel Scholl, and Carl Scholl.
Surviving are four children, Seth Scholl, Autumn Karns, James R. Scholl, and Christopher Scholl. Eight grandchildren, three brothers, Emory Scholl, Roy Scholl, and Paul Scholl; three sisters, Julia Erb, Pearl Reich, and Miriam Smith, and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be no services.
