BELLVILLE: William “Bill” Walker, 76, of Bellville passed away Sunday morning February 2, 2025 at The Good Shepherd Home in Ashland following an extended illness.
The son of Russell and Beatrice (Cairns) Walker, Bill was born June 4, 1948 in Bellville and graduated from Clear Fork High School. For 39 years Bill worked for Therm-O-Disc.

If anyone needed help, Bill made himself available. He enjoyed watching football and was a huge supporter of Clear Fork football. He loved the Clear Fork Valley which he was raised in and would often be seen sitting outside the Bellville Fire Department visiting with his siblings during the Bellville Street Fair. He also cherished time with his siblings who were regulars at the local McDonalds.
He was a member of the Jefferson Township/Bellville Volunteer Fire Department, along with other family members. In 1998 he received the Award of Valor by the fire department for a heroic, life saving rescue of an elderly man caught in rising flood waters.
He was also a member of the Bellville AmVets Post #43 and American Legion Post #535.
