Maxine “Mickie” McWilliams, 78 of Ashland passed away from this life, Tuesday evening, January 7, 2025 in University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center.
She was born on April 14, 1946 in Lodi, Ohio the daughter of the late John L. and Arlene L. (nee Kline) McWilliams.
Mickie graduated from Lodi High School, Class of 1964 where she was class salutatorian. She went on to further her education and earned an associates degree from St. Petersburg College.
She retired in 2015 from M. McWilliams Interior Design, a company that she founded and was so very proud of. Mickie was also employed at both a Floral Garden Florists and Pine Tree Barn for many years.
She was a devoted member of Christ Evangelical Free Church where she enjoyed Bible study. Throughout her life, she loved flowers, both growing them in her flower bed and arranging them. Mickie also loved to travel.
Mickie is survived by two brothers, Mike McWilliams of Ashland and Mitch McWilliams of Ashland; five nieces and nephews, Jamie McWilliams, Shane (Kesha) McWilliams, Carey (Tanya) Cooke, Mandi (Brandon) Campbell, and Casey (Kelly) Cooke; as well as many great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mickie is preceded in death by her sister, Midge Cooke.
A Celebration of Mickie’s life will be held on March 1st, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. in the Christ Community Evangelical Free Church, 1272 Co Rd 758, Ashland, OH 44805.
