Chad Eric Killen came screaming into this world on March 23, 1972. In his 52 years on this planet, he lived his life unapologetically. He loved Star Wars and the entire franchise that followed, especially the droids and Chewbacca. Bears, I think, were his spirit animal. (think bear mood, emerging in the spring after hibernation and hangry as hell…that was Chad.) He served his country in the United States Navy right after graduating from Lucas High School in 1990. Thanks for your service, little brother. Chad was an outrageous Ohio State and Cleveland Browns fan.

Chad was our tech guy, when we broke, downloaded viruses, and all the other stuff that comes with developing tech, Chad fixed it. He put that knowledge to use for Apple, after getting his certification in computer tech. PS, Chad, if you could figure out a way to get us Mom’s wifi password, that would be GREAT! I am convinced that he and our dad are right now, at this moment, talking about all the tech. They will be at it awhile.

He loved music, mostly rock like Kiss, AC/DC, Motley Crue. You know, when we headbanged our way through our lives, and music was the soundtrack.

Chad was close to his mom, Michele, especially after losing Dad the summer before his senior year. She will definitely miss him, as will his friends and family.

Chad is survived by his mother, Michele Killen, his sister, Staci (Tony) McKinney, two nieces; Cheyanne (Jake) Carter, and Sirena (Danny) Fanello, a nephew, Andrew McKinney, four great nieces; Jaydah, Zoei, Aubree and Ella, three great-nephews; Keegan, Andrew Jr., and Thomas. He has 5 aunts, an uncle, and many cousins.

Chad was preceded in death by his father, Robert L Killen, all of our grandparents, two aunts, and a few friends.

Michele would like to offer a special mention for a couple of people who were very close to Chad, and helped him immensely. Red and Nadine Persinger and his neighbor/friend, Tammy Blanton.

Chad’s memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 4 pm in the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where his family will receive friends prior from, 1 pm – 4 pm. Pastor Tj Waters will officiate and burial will be held Tuesday Wednesday in Oak Grove Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Chad’s name to the Arthritis Foundation would be appreciated.
