Betty Bartley, 95 of Polk passed from this life on Wednesday evening, January 15, 2025 in University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center.
She was born on May 20, 1929 in Ashland County, the only child of the late Clair and Vera (nee Welch) Spencer.
Betty graduated from Polk High School, Class of 1947.
She married the love of her life, Calvin F. Bartley on April 28, 1948.
Betty was a lifelong resident of Polk and enjoyed her life as homemaker and farmer’s wife.
She was a member of the Polk United Methodist Church. Betty was an animal lover, especially her beloved cats and dogs.
Betty is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Bartley of Polk and Beverly Baker of Ashland; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Hershel (Virginia) Bartley of Ashland.
In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her loving husband of 72 years, Calvin Bartley who passed away on October 3, 2020; one daughter, Diana (Raymond) Wiley who passed away on August 17, 2021.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Pastor Layton Broome presiding. Interment will follow in the Nankin Cemetery. Friends may visit on Tuesday evening, January 21, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
