GALION – The Galion Board of Education has announced significant developments in district leadership to foster continuity and advance educational excellence.
During the recent organizational meeting, the board announced the extension of Jeff Hartmann’s contract through 2031.
This decision reflects the board’s confidence in Hartmann’s leadership and strategic vision, which have driven positive outcomes for the district, the school stated in a press release.
In addition, Melissa Miller and Dennis Long were re-elected to serve as President and Vice President for the upcoming term. Their continued leadership underscores a commitment to stability and effective governance within our school community, the school stated.
“This continuity in leadership is essential for maintaining momentum and ensuring our district’s continued success,” Miller said.
“We are fortunate to have a dedicated team of board members and an exceptional superintendent who are deeply invested in the success and well-being of every student.”
Under Hartmann’s guidance, Galion City Schools has implemented innovative programs and internal initiatives to improve instructional practices and student achievement.
The extension of the superintendent’s contract signifies a shared commitment to building upon these achievements and further enhancing educational opportunities for all students.
As the district embarks on the second half of the school year, Galion City Schools remains steadfast in its mission to provide a rigorous education that prepares students for future success.
The Board of Education looks forward to collaborating with Hartmann and the school community to achieve our shared goals.
