BUYCYRUS — Seven people were arrested Wednesday evening during a drug raid at 1209 Monnett St., according to Bucyrus police.
Officers and detectives with the Bucyrus Police Department assigned to the METRICH Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at about 8:15 p.m.
The target of the investigation was James Shope Jr., police said.
Police said Shope was believed to be trafficking in methamphetamine and fentanyl from the residence on the city’s north side.
Authorities began a 12-month investigation, leading to the drug raid on Wednesday evening, resulting in multiple arrests of people found to be in possession of both drugs and paraphernalia associated with drug abuse.
During the search warrant, suspected illegal narcotics (methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms, fentanyl, prescription pills) were located, as well as drug abuse instruments and paraphernalia.
The following were arrested in connection to the investigation and/or during the search warrant execution:

According to police, the following charges are being sought and pertain to one or more of the listed individuals above: tampering with evidence (F-3,) trafficking in drugs (F-4), possession of drugs (F-5), permitting drug abuse (M-1), child endangerment (M-1), possession of drug abuse instruments (M-2) and possession of drug paraphernalia (M-4).
