US 30 Westbound lanes have been cleared and are now open.
US 30 Eastbound lanes are still currently closed. Road crews are working to have one Eastbound lane open near 7 p.m.
Motorists are reminded to use caution in the area.
MOHICAN TOWNSHIP — The Ohio State Highway Patrol closed down the east and west bound lanes on U.S. 30 Monday afternoon, following a collision between a semi-truck and propane tanker.
Per a 3:14 p.m. press release from the State Highway Patrol, U.S. 30 remains closed at State Route 89 between County Road 2175 and County Road 175. State Route 89 is closed between County Road 30A and County Road 2000.
An update will come when the area is open for travel.
“Both drivers involved in the crash were transported to University Hospital Ashland with non-life threatening injuries,” the press release stated.

The collision happened at 12:22 p.m., and caused both vehicles to overturn. The propane tanker began leaking after the collision, which caused evacuations of local businesses and residences near the crash scene.
Ann Strouth, Ashland County Emergency Management Agency director, said there was a half-mile evacuation radius that affected three homes.
