Samuel John Shick, 49, of Crestline, Ohio, died November 28, 2024 at OSU Columbus after a brief illness.
Sam was born in Shelby, Ohio on February 27, 1975 to the late Harry D. and Jo Ann (Harris) Shick.
Sam lived in Crestline most of his life. Sam cherished his cultivating skills, fishing, disc golf and playing Euchre. Sam was an avid Cleveland Browns fan, as well as the Guardians, Cavaliers and Penn State.
Sam is survived by two brothers, Richard Shick, Daytona, FL, Warren “Chip” and Selena Spradlein, Custer, OH, sister Tamela and Jeff Shryock, Eustis, FL, three nieces, Kadence Shick, Bobbie Jo (Dylan) Semler, great niece Hannah Hawkins and three nephews, Dustin (Eden) Spradlein, great nephews Lukas Hawkins and Bentley Semler, several step nieces and nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Besides his parents, Sam is preceded in death by his niece Amanda (Shryock) Hawkins.
A celebration of life was held for Sam on Sunday, December 8 at the VFW in Crestline from 2 p.m.-5 p.m.
