Betty Jane Bursley, age 48 of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly on December 29, 2024.

She was born in Ashland on May 9, 1976, to parents William Bursley and Mary Dickinson.

Betty met the love of her life, Brent, while they lived in Ashland in the 90’s. Following were four beautiful children whom she absolutely adored. Betty devoted her entire life to caring for her children. They were her entire world. Betty was the kindest person you would ever meet. She was never without a smile, and most conversations were sprinkled with her infectious laughter. She had a true heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. She was the best spouse, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend you could ask for.

Betty had a huge soft spot for animals and never hesitated when it came to helping others looking for their missing pets. She was an iced coffee connoisseur and never turned down a scratch-off, a game of Bingo, or a chance to tell her jokes. She cherished spending time with her family and loved being the life of the party. She enjoyed going to all of the many family parties and yearly family vacations, never missing a chance to snap a picture of her kids. Her children will miss her laughter, encouragement, daily chats, and most of all, her unconditional love.

Betty will be deeply missed by the love of her life, Brent Bautz; her children Brooke, Brent, Bree, and Thomas; her mother Mary Dickinson; her stepfather Glenn Dickinson; her father William Bursley; her stepmother Becky Bursley; her brothers Bill Zehner and Jack Bursley of Indiana and Johnny (Heidi) Bursley of Ashland; her sisters Tresa (Bernard) Cole and Lisa Zehner of Ashland; her mother-in-law Margrit Bautz; her brothers-in-law John Bautz and Matt (Laurel) Bautz; her sister-in-law Stephanie (Howard) Jeffries; and many, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends and family may gather to honor Betty’s memory on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield.
