Karen Hale-Linville, age 62, resident of Shelby, passed away at her sisters home in Greenwich Wednesday, December 18, 2024.

Born January 26, 1962 in Willard, Ohio to Abraham Sr. and Bethel (Barnett) Shepherd, she had been a resident of Shelby for over 15 years.

Karen had a beautiful voice and was often singing and listening to music. She loved to be outdoors, whether it was tending to her vegetable and flower gardens or taking care of her peach tree. She enjoyed fishing locally and at Lake Erie, and always dreamed of being on the beaches of the Bahamas. Most of all Karen loved her family. She looked forward to spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband John Linville; four children, Ashley Hale of Shelby, Amanda Hale of Shelby, Bradley Hale, Sr. of Crestline and Johnathon Hale of Shelby; five grandchildren, Nick, Skyler, Seth, Bradley, Jr., Nichole; five siblings, Eva Stephens of Greenwich, Abraham Jr. (Carrie) Shepherd of Plymouth, Denise Barnett of Willard, Dennis Shepherd of Plymouth, David (Tabi) Shepherd of Greenwich; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives who will miss her deeply.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Hale in 1998, brother Terry Shepherd and nephew Richard Stephens II.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, December 22, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Living Truth Community Church at 631 South Main St. Willard, OH 44890. A funeral service will take place the following day on Monday at 11:00 AM. Pastor David Lee Montgomery will officiate with interment held at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh.

In place of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
