MANSFIELD: Cleo Myles, Sr. passed away surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, December 16, 2024. He was 77 years old.

Cleo was born in Canton, Mississippi on February 23, 1947 to Clyde Lee and Eddie Ruth (Levy) Myles. He proudly served the nation as a member of the Army from 1965 to 1968 during the Vietnam War.

Cleo is preceded in death by parents Clyde and Eddie Ruth Myles, brother Clyde Myles Sr., son Cleo Myles Jr., Grandchild, Brianna Myles, and brother-in-law Phillip Jackson.

He leaves to cherish his memories to his beloved wife Rosemarie with whom he shared 51 years of love and partnership, Sister Ledora Achusim, Step-Sister Mary “Tootsie” Allen, Sisters in-law, Jean Campbell, Gloria Smith, JoAnn Crenshaw, Nataleen Coleman, Children Nathan (Christina), Chevonne, Rubin (Chakeeta), Edie (Cadeau), Grandchildren Nayana, Amaury, Rashaad, Tyrek, Rhaigan, Cabrel, Schavonne, Tyana, Great-Grandchild Yahweh, Nieces and Nephews Christopher, Elinah (William), Ruth, Charity (Aaron), Michael, Natasha (Jeff), Clyde Jr. (Jewel), Marcus (Trina), Maurice, Kevin (Merci), Keith, Angela (Tyrone), Naeem (Donna), Malik, Dean, Alicia, Sterling, Morrisa, Mike, Arianna (Tyrone) and a host of family and friends.

Cleo and his family laid deep roots in Chicago, Illinois before relocating to Mansfield, Ohio where he worked at the General Motors plant as a Machine Repairman for 32 years. He enjoyed a well-deserved retirement beginning in 2009. Cleo had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed quiet time by the water as a fisherman and traveling long stretches of highway on road trips. He enjoyed the sounds of the great masters of soul, especially Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, and Brooke Benton, whose music was often his road trip soundtrack. He often enjoyed a night at the bowling alley as well as a tough chess game.

His family invites loved ones to join them on Monday, December 23, 2024 from 6 to 7pm at Snyder Funeral Homes, Marion Avenue Chapel for calling hours. Calling hours will be held in Chicago as well at Leak and Sons Funeral Home, Country Club Hills Chapel on Friday, December 27 from 10am to 11am with a service beginning at 11am. Interment at Burr Oak Cemetery following. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
