Sandra “Sandy” J. Kearney, 85 of Mansfield passed away December 5, 2024 at Arbors of Mifflin.
Sandy was born September 29, 1939 in Mansfield to Archer and Bernice Currens, and she spent her life here and in the Ashland area. Sandy was raised by her grandmother Catherine Currens and had a brother Donald Currens and a sister who was her best friend Carole Harless, who all have preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son Jeffrey “JC” (Sharon) Conley of Mansfield; grandsons Brandon and Corey Conley; and other relatives.
Sandy enjoyed time with her family as well as mushroom hunting each spring and she never saw a slot machine she did not want to play. She was employed at Sids Camera Shop in the 1950’s, Inn America Motel in the 60’s, as well as Credit Manager for W. L. Grant Co. in Ashland, and lastly as with Employee Benefit Consultants. Sandy also enjoyed her volunteer work with the Richland County Juvenile Court Victim Offender program.
She along with her late husband, Bill, spent many winter months in Destin, Florida and on Okaloosa Island.
A private family service with burial at Mansfield Memorial Park will take place at a later date.
