Jermaine LaKory Anderson, 43 of Ashland passed away unexpectedly, on Thursday, November 28, 2024, in Ashland.
He was born on April 21, 1981, in Mansfield, the beloved son of Will (aka Larry) and Diana (née Bittle) Anderson of Ashland who survive.
Jermaine graduated from Ashland High School, Class of 2000. He was employed at Ashland University in the Catering Division for 17 years.
He grew up attending Trinity Lutheran Church. Jermaine was a sports enthusiast all his life. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Jermaine was a true family man who deeply loved all his family especially his children. He was often quiet but had the biggest heart and remained loyal. His laughter was truly contagious. Jermaine was a man of faith and loved Jesus as his Lord and Savior.
In addition to his parents, Jermaine is survived by one son, Quentin Anderson (also son of Amber Stafford) of Ashland; one daughter, Jayla Anderson (also daughter of Sara Stentz) of Ashland; Jermaine’s cherished friend and confidant, Deanna Roberts of Ashland; his brothers, Jeremy (Jill Moody) Anderson of Ashland and Jerome Anderson of Jacksonville Beach, Florida; his sisters, Arnetter (Jacques) Reynolds of Jackson, Mississippi and Shoronda King of Indianola, Mississippi; and his nieces and nephews, Aaliyah and Jayden Anderson and Ashton Reynolds. Jermaine is survived by many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, and close friends.
Jermaine is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dean Bittle and Phyllis (Kenny) Swain and his paternal grandparents, Sammie Jr. and Lula Anderson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. (doors will open at 10:15 a.m.) in the Ashland University Jack & Deb Miller Chapel, 456 College Ave., Ashland, Ohio 44805 with Pastor Bruce Philippi presiding. Interment will follow in the Ashland Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in John C. Myers Convocation Center, 638 Jefferson St. Ashland, OH 44805.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pastoral Care Ministries, Journey Life Center, 2578 Springmill Road, Mansfield, Ohio 44903.
