Patricia Diane (Williams) Lydy

Dec. 17, 1957 – Nov. 21, 2024

Philippians 4: 6-7
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything with prayer and supplication, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God which passes all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Surrounded by her loved ones, Patricia Diane (Williams) Lydy, 66, went to be with her precious Savior and her beloved husband Mikel, after a brief battle with a heart condition.

Patricia was born on December 17th, 1957 in Red Bud, Illinois to Harold and Shirley Williams. She was raised in West Tennessee with her two beloved older sisters, Debe and Sandy.

For over 30 years, Pat faithfully raised and homeschooled their eight children while also working part time as a chiropractor.  She had an immeasurable impact on the lives of her children, as her focus was always first upon raising her children to be Christ centered. Her encouragement to her children through marriage, towards Christ’s love and following His will, has a lasting impact on their lives. Pat truly exemplified a servant’s heart to friends and family as a prayer warrior and an encourager.

Dr. Pat was passionate about helping people improve their health through Chiropractic and nutrition. In the spring of 1979, she started at Palmer Chiropractic College where she met the love of her life, Mikel. They married on April 17th, 1982, upon her graduation. They started their practice, Lydy Chiropractic Clinic soon after.  In 2017 Dr. Mike and Dr. Pat’s son, Dr. Wynnslo, joined the chiropractic practice and had the joy of working together with her. She shared God’s love with her patients, family and friends.

She also loved serving her church family both inside and outside the four walls of Covenant Orthodox Presbyterian Church, where she had been a member for 27 years. From a humble heart, Pat served to promote the love of Christ through her gentle words, giving of meals, her time, and so much more. She was always thinking of ways to make life less stressful for others and giving the glory to Christ and away from herself. When not working or serving her community, she could be found spending time with her family by helping with various projects, playing card games or board games with her children and grandchildren, and putting together puzzles around the holidays.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Mikel Lydy in 2021, her father, Harold  Williams, four unborn children, and six unborn grandchildren. She is survived by her eight children: Jeremiah (Carrie) Lydy of Hawaii, Amelia (Nathan) Pledger of Middleville, MI, Jordan (Elizabeth) Lydy of Jeromesville, OH, Wynnslo (Allyssa) Lydy of Mansfield, OH, Joshua (Destiny) Lydy of Mansfield, OH, Nathanael (Shelby) Lydy of Ontario, OH, Joel (Rachel) Lydy of Delaware, OH, and Andrea Lydy of Ontario, OH. She will be missed by her fifteen grandchildren: Jesse, Zoe, Wyatt, Wesley, Josiah, Xander, Jedidiah, Isaiah, Lydia, Grace, Owen, Kate, Aaron, Norah and one on the way. She is also survived by her mother, Shirley Williams of Jackson, TN her sisters, Debe Williams and Sandy (Steve) Brown both of Jackson, TN, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Being a healthcare provider, she chose to donate her body for research. At a later date, a Celebration of Life service will be held in honor of Dr. Pat.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Covenant Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 473 West Cook Road, Mansfield, Ohio 44907 or Christian Chiropractor’s Association, 2550 Stover B-102, Fort Collins, Colorado 80525.
