ONTARIO — The Giving Ontario organization has launched a Christmas Toy Drive now through Dec. 18.
Ontario Community Events, the Ontario Fire Department and the Ontario Event Center have joined forces to form Giving Ontario on Sunday, Dec. 8 from noon to 6 p.m. at what was formerly known as the Richland Mall.
“We are doing a toy drive at the Ontario center and having a celebrity guest,” said Kenn Spencer, the spokesperson for the group. “Each person who drops off a toy will be entered into a raffle for a free signed helmet one from the Ontario football team.
“Another is an a Ohio State helmet signed by Bodpegn Miller, the Ontario football player from Ontario signed with Ohio State football team.”
At this same event, Discount Drug Mart is presenting us a big donation check to Ontario Gives for the toy drive to buy toys for kids anywhere in Richland County who are in need for Christmas.
