Janet L. Haines, 78 of Ashland passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024 in her home.
She was born on August 10, 1946 in Ashland County, the daughter of the late Royal E. and Mary (nee Pence) Warner.
Janet graduated from Ashland High School, Class of 1964.
She retired after more than 45 years from Abbott Laboratories in 2008.
Throughout her life, she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and attending craft shows. She was an avid animal lover, but most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Janet is survived by two children, DuAnne Young of Jeromesville and Frank (Dawn) Haines Jr. of Jeromesville; seven grandchildren, Erin and Austin Patton, Amber Ayers and Ashley Garrett, Kelsey Henson, and Skylar and Kortney Haines; numerous great-grandchildren; and her canine companion, Clover.
In addition to her parents, Janet is preceded in death by her son, Jody Haines; a grandson, Corey Woodruff; two brothers, Dennis and Larry Warner; and her two canine companions, Molly and Jack.
An interment service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Nankin Cemetery.
