LEXINGTON: Marguerite V. “Peggy” Pierce, age 82, of Lexington passed away Monday morning, October 14, 2024 in Lexington Court Care Center.
She was born February 5, 1942 in Galion to the late Virgil Fremont and Jessie Marguerite (Ness) Pierce and graduated from Lexington High School in 1960. A dedicated employee, Marguerite worked for 30 years at the Speedway on Roseland.
When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed spending time with friends in Amish country and getting lost in an Amish novel.
She is survived by her sisters Sandy Smith of Bellville, Jessie (Bill) Barger of Mt. Vernon, and sister-in-law Iris Pierce, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers Marvin, Neil, Delbert, and Jerry Pierce.
The family has chosen the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home for simple cremation arrangements and assisting in placing Peggy in her final resting place in Bloomfield Cemetery near Sparta.
Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
