Debbie S (Gentile) Brandt
Age 61 Mason, Ohio

Debbie Brandt, loving wife, partner, friend, mother and grandmother, ended her heroic 2 ½ year battle with cancer on Thursday, October 10, 2024. She fought the cancer with the toughness of a warrior, like she did everything in her life.

She was born to Raymond and Geraldine (Resch) Gentile on March 10, 1963 in Cleveland, Ohio. The fourth of five children, she grew up in Lyndhurst, Ohio, where she graduated from Brush High School in 1981.

After high school, Debbie tried many different careers before becoming a server/bartender at The Cooker Restaurants. This job took her to Columbus, Ohio where she met her husband. Dave and they were married on October 20, 1992.

Debbie loved Cleveland sports and enjoyed going to Indians, Cavs, and especially Browns games were her favorite. When not at the game, she loved watching her Browns with family and friends on TV. She was always up for a football or tailgate party, whether the Browns, or Ohio State. While she enjoyed her teams, she really loved watching her children in their countless adventures.

Debbie loved being a mother and grandmother. Her time was spent doing crafts with the kids, like carving pumpkins in the garage while dancing and singing to her favorite artist Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, visits to Kings Island, the zoo and the park behind the house to feed the ducks, volunteering at school, and pranking the kids every chance she got.

She enjoyed listening to live music, going to concerts, and taking vacations with her family. No matter the destination, Debbie always knew how to find something unique to make the trip special.

Debbie is survived by her husband David Brandt, son Adam (Monica) Brandt, daughter Bailee Brandt, granddaughter Rylie Brandt, her beloved cats Buddy & Tyger, sisters Linda (Rick) Vatalaro, Karen Mauck, Sandy (Tom) Sanders, brother-in-law Nick (Tiffany) Brandt, sister-in-Law Tina (John) Nicholson, 9 nieces & nephews, and 11 great nieces and nephews.
