Helen Louise (Hunter) Bogner, 82, passed away peacefully October 16, 2024 at Ontario Estates.
Helen was born May 13, 1942 in Mansfield to Arthur and Margaret McManamon Hunter. She was a people person who loved making friends and once she did it was for a lifetime. Helen was a 1960 graduate of St. Peter’s High School and a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Church.
Survivors include her daughters: Amy (Steve) Bennett and Debbie (Rob) Dretzka; grandchildren: Kenneth (Kylee) Bogner, Alyssa (Virgil) Bryant, Katie (Andrew) Wheeler, Eric Bennett, Bradley (Taylor Eagle) Dretzka, Bailey (Jayden Gerhart) Dretzka; great-grandchildren: Emery, Ezra, Amelia, and Elizabeth due in January. Helen also leave behind many true friends that have supported her throughout her life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, son James, brother David Hunter, and sister Mary Jo Morris.
The family would like to thank her caregivers at Ontario Estates and Southern Care Hospice for the amazing care for Helen.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 60 S. Mulberry Street. Visitation will be held one hour prior and burial will follow the mass at Mansfield Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Church or School.
