MANSFIELD — Scattered showers didn’t stop the Ohio Bird Sanctuary from throwing its Fall Festival on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The annual event highlights the sanctuary and its trails during the fall season. Visitors of all ages and abilities were welcome.

Keeper talks provided opportunities for attendees to meet birds up close and take photographs. Kids crafts and seasonal activities were also offered throughout the grounds at 3774 Orweiler Road in Mansfield.

Folks were free to explore the trails and treehouse. Food, games and a bonfire could also be enjoyed Saturday morning and afternoon.

There were also basket raffles to help support the sanctuary’s birds.
