Susan Cole, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and devout Christian went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, October 11, 2024 at the age of 71 after a brief but courageous battle with endometrial cancer.
Susan was born April 12, 1953 in Mansfield, Ohio, to William and Dorothy Copland.
Susan was a 1971 graduate of Madison HS. She married her High School sweetheart on November 13th, 1971 and they have been inseparable ever since.
She was an active member of Ashland Grace Church. Susan’s life was defined by love and strength. She lived her life to take care of her family. She had a kind heart and a nurturing spirit.
Susan is survived by her adoring husband of 53 years Michael Cole, her two daughters Michelle (Curtis) Baum, Melissa (John “J”) Spradling; 8 grandchildren Brittany (Seth) Coey, Donald (Tara) Rose, Duell (Aleah) Rose, John Jr. (Alyssia) Spradling, Kevin Spradling, Taylor Stamper, Michael Stamper and Isabella Baum; 9 great grandchildren Aubrie, Connor, Gracie, Sloan, Aurora, Caroline, June, Sarah, Everrett; sister Laura (Don) Kirschenheiter; mother-in-law Omega Cole; brother-in-law Ed (Patty) Cole; sister-in-law Linda King, sister-in-law Barb (Doug) Sands; numerous nieces and nephews and friends and some very special friends Diane Heaberlin, Karen McClellan, Linda Day, Roxanne Coey, and the Truthseekers class of Grace Church.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents William and Dorothy Copland, father-in-law Willard Cole, brother-in-law Raymond Cole, nephews Davitt Hammer and Paul Roberts.
She will be dearly missed from life here on earth but her family rejoices in knowing they will one day see her again.
Friends may call Tuesday, October 15, 2024 from 4-7 pm in the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, 350 Marion Avenue, Mansfield, Ohio 44903, where visitation will continue Wednesday from 10-11 am. Funeral services will begin 11 am Wednesday with Pastor Dan Allan officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
