MANSFIELD — Shoppers at the Kroger on Park Avenue have the chance to save a few extra bucks this weekend.
The supermarket chain’s 1240 Park Avenue West location is running several promotions through the weekend to celebrate the completion of renovations throughout the store.
Shoppers can enter to win one of eight $100 Kroger gift cards, try free samples and take advantage of grand reopening specials.
Customers who use their Kroger Plus card at the Park Avenue West Kroger Fuel Center between Friday and Sunday will reap savings of an extra 20 cents per gallon.
“Our store renovations were designed with the customer in mind, and after nearly four months, we are thrilled to share the results during our grand reopening celebration,” said Missy Mahaffey, Mansfield Kroger store leader.
“We appreciate our customers’ patience during this process and thank the Mansfield community for their continued support of our store.”
Kroger invested $1.3 million into the Park Avenue store, according to Mark Bruce, corporate affairs manager for Kroger’s Columbus Division. The store has fresh paint and new decor throughout the store, with a focus on the produce, deli, bakery, floral and seafood sections.
“Those are really popular areas of the store. They get a lot of use, and so we want to make sure that the experience is always fresh for our customers,” Bruce said. “This completes our renovation of all the Mansfield stores over the last three years.”
Bruce also highlighted the Kroger Community Rewards program, which allows shoppers to select an organization to receive donations from Kroger. Shoppers can choose an organization through their Kroger Plus account.
“Kroger donates money to those organizations based on the shopping habits of their customers,” Bruce said.
“The Humane Society of Richland County is in the top 15 of 7,000 organizations across the Kroger’s Columbus division. Since 2018, we’ve donated more than $54,000 to that organization. They are one of the best in our entire division when it comes to having customers sign up and support them.”
Kroger’s Park Avenue store hours are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, with pharmacy hours 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., weekdays; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sundays.
