MANSFIELD — NECIC and the Richland County Land Bank are pleased to announce the return of Community Dumpster Day, scheduled for Saturday, October 5th, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the NECIC Community Outreach Center located at 486 Springmill St, Mansfield.

Community Dumpster Day provides an opportunity for residents to dispose of unwanted junk and debris, contributing to a cleaner and greener community. The event aims to promote responsible waste disposal and community engagement. NECIC is excited to host another Community Dumpster Day and encourages everyone in Mansfield to join us in throwing garbage in its place.

Volunteers are also welcome to participate in this event. For those interested in volunteering, please contact Community Organizer Aurelio Diaz at 419-522-1611, ext 117.

Please note that while the event can accept junk of all kinds, there are some prohibited items, including metal, liquid wastes, tires, batteries, harmful chemicals, explosive materials, and large appliances (such as fridges, stoves, and freezers).

The event is free, and there is no charge to dispose of waste. However, we will be accepting monetary donations to support NECIC’s Community Impact Center.

For more information about Community Dumpster Day, including more details on prohibited items, please call NECIC at 419-522-1611.

Let’s come together to make a difference in our community. Spread the word, invite your friends and neighbors, and let’s make Mansfield cleaner and greener!
