Early morning treestand sit with a compound bow. I had about given up on this specific stand location, I was staring at my phone trying to figure out how to quickly and quietly move a hang on stand, by myself, during the rut. All the sudden I hear leaves rustling over my right shoulder. I turn and this 9 pt buck is walking straight in, but behind me about 45 degrees off my right. I quietly put my phone away, slowly stood on the platform, and had to grab my bow off of the hanger. I was able to go to full draw, I made a bleat noise to make the buck stop, and released. I watched him run and drop within 50 yards. My biggest buck to date.
