Jennifer J. Brantley, 41, of Shelby, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 4, 2024.

Jennifer, also known as “Lil’ Jen”, was born March 9, 1983, in Mansfield, to Linda Kay (Rigsby) Brantley and Lance Brantley. Jennifer attended ARC Empowerment Center where she was baptized. She loved to read her Bible in her free time. She also loved her family and friends dearly, and especially loved spending time with her five grandchildren.

Jennifer had recently completed courses to earn her G.E.D. She also took classes to learn A.S.L. and signed at her church events. She was working to become a rehabilitation coordinator for other women in need.

Jennifer is survived by her two daughters, Ma’Kayla Boice (Ricky Forwith) of Shelby and Allissa Boice (James Hall) of Mansfield; one son, Kane Bago of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Hunter Forwith, Lake Forwith, Penelope Forwith, Kairo Hall, and Dash Hall; father of her children, Ryan Boice; nephew, Gavyn Rollins; grandparents, Ronald (Carol) Rigsby of Lexington; aunts and uncles, Ronda (Jerry) Shrimplin of Mansfield, Jason (Lanetta) Amick of Mansfield, and Debra (Joe) Waugh of Louisa, KY; many cousins; and best friend, Jessica Watts.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Kay (Rigsby) Brantley; brother, Travis Brantley; grandmother, Donna Kay Hamm Kennedy; and cousin, Jonathon Rigsby.
Calling hours will be from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at ARC Empowerment Center, 378 Park Avenue West, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m., at the church with Pastor Joe Nichols officiating.
