MANSFIELD — Olivia Berner, with over 15 years of experience, combines her skills as a floral designer and flower farmer while raising her four children.
Olivia Berner is the owner of The Weedhopper Flower Farm in Greenwich, Ohio. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where she earned dual majors in Greenhouse Production and Floral Design.
She shares, “I am excited to bring my passion for horticulture to Richland Academy of the Arts through the flower arranging workshop.”
Olivia will be instructing a Floral Arranging Workshop for students aged 60 and older in Richland County. Sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging, the workshop is designed to teach participants the art of floral design. This opportunity is available exclusively for Richland County residents aged 60 and above. Olivia is excited to join Richland Academy of the Arts as they kick off the Empower the Arts Capital Campaign, which will bring much-needed updates to the facility, creating new and improved teaching spaces.

Sophia Marshall, an active musical performer, has sung with many ensembles with the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra and the Cleveland Orchestra’s Blossom Festival Chorus.
Marshall is looking forward to joining the team at the Richland Academy of the Arts as a private piano and voice instructor this fall semester.
Sophia states, “I am excited to being teaching at Richland Academy of the Arts! I am dedicated to fostering the love of music in my students and communities and my goal, through teaching, is to demonstrate excellence in music.”
Holding a Bachelor of Music Education from The College of Wooster, she currently teaches Elementary Choir and General Music at Lexington Local Schools in Ohio, leading rehearsals and classes for grades K-6. Sophia has held various teaching and conducting roles across Ohio and has served as President of the Ohio Collegiate Music Education Association. She is a welcome addition to the Richland Academy of the Arts as they launch the Empower The Arts Capital Campaign. Many needed restorations and updates will be made to the current sight to create new and functional teaching spaces.
