Carla Jean Fox (Zeigler), age seventy-eight, of Mansfield, Ohio, entered Heaven’s Gates on
August 28th, 2024. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family after a battle with cancer.
Born on August 2, 1946, to the late Carl and Ann Zeigler in Adario, Ohio, her inspiring and
loving lifestyle lives on in her husband, Bill, her three children, Danita (John) Offenburger,
David (Michelle) Fox, and Denise (Chad) Clary, her seven grandchildren, Nicolas, Jacob, Garrett Offenburger, Tre, Tristan, Trevor (Trinity) Fox, Adrian and Taylor Clary, and her two great-grandchildren, Alexa and Iris.
Carla attended Savannah High School, where she met the love of her life, William L. Fox III.
She married him on October 29, 1966. She waited for him when he was drafted into the Army and went to Vietnam, and upon his return, together they started a life. When Bill was called to be a pastor, she followed him to Bible college and proudly supported him as a pastor’s wife for forty-five years, most of which was spent at Faith Community Church in Crestline, Ohio.
Carla loved taking care of people and was proud of her thirty years as a healthcare provider. After retiring, she devoted most days to being a grandmother. She spent countless hours in her flower garden and enjoyed nature. She loved taking drives with Bill, traveling with family, and having family dinners. Always a strong woman, she was never afraid to let you know what she was thinking. She was a selfless woman who was always willing to serve others.
Carla was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by many. (Proverbs 31:29 NIV)
A celebration of life will be held on September 7, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Faith Community Church, 327 E. Main St, Crestline, Ohio. The family would like to thank Avita Hospice for all their love and support during this time. Memorial donations can be made to Avita Home Health & Hospice on her behalf. (Avitahomehealth.org)
