Mary Louise Sellman, 81, formally of Loudonville, OH, went to be with the Lord on August 28, 2024. Mary Lou was born October 27, 1942, in Washington, PA to Naomi Sumney Barnhart.

Mary Lou and her husband Russell were married on July 3, 1961, in Maryland. They were married almost 50 years before Russell passed away in 2011.

Mary Lou worked for many years cleaning homes and offices including the dental office of Dr. David Mallory in Loudonville. Because of her warm, caring personality, Dr. Mallory trained her to be his dental assistant- a position she thoroughly enjoyed for over 30 years before retiring in 2010.

In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, shopping, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Loudonville Baptist Temple. Mary Lou was known for her beautiful soul and contagious smile. She was the type of person to help others no matter what, she never met a stranger.

Survivors include her four children Rebecca (Ralph) Owens of Ashland, Russell (Mendy) Sellman of Galion, Richard (Juana) Sellman of Loudonville, and Barbara (Jason) Smith of Mt. Vernon; Grandchildren: Emely, Jesse, and Elaina, children of Russell and Mendy; Logan, child of Richard and Juana; Hali, Noah, and Taylor, children of Barbara; Great-Grandchildren: Lacey, Jesse, Austin, Bennett, Silas, Bonnie, Aaron, Cooper, Wesley, Parker, and Grady.

Predeceased by her husband, mother, brothers George and Robert Barnhart, and grandson Zachary Chapman.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 30, 2024, from 5-7 p.m. at Snyder Funeral Home- Lindsey Chapel in Loudonville, OH. The funeral will be held Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Loudonville Baptist Temple 15528 OH-3 Loudonville, OH 44842. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery.
