Our dear Mother Charlene Joyce (Wentz) Jones went to be with her Lord on August 21st, 2024 surrounded by family. She was born and raised in Mansfield.
She will be missed by her spouse of 64 years, Walter A Jones and her children, Christy (James) Ogle, Colleen (Ted) Mccleese, Carla (Tim) Clifford, Wesley (Melissa) Jones; Grandchildren Chelsy, Tayler, Cydney, Alex, Cela, Victoria, Noah, Caden, Cale, Madelynn; Great Grandchildren August, Omari, Athena, Penelope, Apollo and Khaleesi.
She was proceeded in death by her siblings Gretchen Payton, Ted Wentz, Sheryl Cooper, Parents George and Martha Naomi Wentz and Grandson Scott Jones.
She is survived by her siblings Burton Wentz, Merle Wentz, Sharon (Lannie) Cooper.
She was a homemaker and baker, she loved volunteering to bake for church events. She loved watching all types of birds especially hummingbirds and working outside in her flower garden. She especially loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be at Fusion Lexington Church located at 220 Industrial Dr. Lexington Saturday, August 24th from 3pm-5pm, services to follow at 5pm.
