WALTON LAKE – The Crestline Lions Club celebrated its 75th anniversary of the Lions Club Charter and honored current members on Aug 13.
The Crestline Lions Club was charted on May 12, 1949.

The celebratory meeting was opened by Club Vice President Mike Grube, with the pledge led by Lion Linda Thornton, and the invocation led by Lion Bob Parr.
Crestline Lion and current District Governor Patty Moorman addressed those in attendance, and introduced the Keynote Speaker for the evening, Past Lions International Director Jerry Smith.
Several significant awards were presented to members of the Crestline Lions Club during the evening by Past International Directors Jerry Smith and Steve Thornton.
Lion Bob Parr and Lion Janelle Grube received the International President’s Certificate of Appreciation.
This is the fourth-highest award a member of Lions can receive, in recognition of achievements in fulfilling the Lions’ mission.

Patty Moorman was presented with the prestigious Melvin Jones Fellowship, which honors exemplary service to Lions and is the highest accolade any Lions member can receive.
Patty joins eight other Crestline Lions Club members, including her husband Bob, who have been bestowed the Melvin Jones Fellowship.
The Crestline Lions Club and Club Branch meet the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. The Crestline Lions Club meets at 7 p.m. and the Club Branch meets at Noon in the meeting room at VFW Post 2920.
