Loretta Ann Ball, 64, of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home with her loved ones by her side on August 7, 2024. Born on April 30, 1960, in Mansfield, Ohio, to William M. and Peggy (Salyers) Lambert, Loretta faced many health challenges over the years but remained a pillar of strength and grace. Her favorite role was working as a cook in a nursing home, where she touched many lives with her kindness and skill.
Loretta was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her love for family and friends was boundless. She had a passion for collecting beautiful items and decorating her home, especially for Christmas, when her house became a picturesque holiday haven. She cherished spending time with her husband, daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren, and she found joy in cooking and baking for those she loved. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she poured her heart into nurturing those bonds.
Loretta is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Kenneth Ball; her daughter, Peggy (John) Rush; her grandchildren, Shyann, Kenneth, and Kameron; her sisters, Sandy (Kirk) Smith, Karen (Roger) Owens, and Vicky Lambert; her brother, William L. Lambert (Billy); and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Marvin Lambert; and her nephews Marvin Lambert Jr. and Ryan Stamper, as well as her niece, Erica Lambert.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the friends and relatives who visited Loretta in her final days, demonstrating the deep love and affection she inspired in those around her.
